Madrid Horse Tours is an initiative led and directed by Javier Ávila, an enthusiast and rider connected to the world of horses for more than 30 years. For him, the project is built on the wellbeing, nutrition, training, and emotional balance of each horse — understood not as a resource, but as the core of the entire experience.
Alongside him, our equestrian guides bring professionalism, sensitivity, and attentiveness to deliver the best experience on every route. Guides with years of experience, who combine technical knowledge with warmth and passion to ensure unique, unforgettable, and safe journeys for our guests.
Inés has an international career in horse racing, having worked in Ireland, Spain, and New Zealand, which has given her a solid foundation in the preparation, handling, and understanding of sport horses. Her technical knowledge, combined with her warmth and passion, guarantees safe, smooth, high-level rides.
Edgardo, with more than 20 years of experience in the equestrian world and over a decade guiding routes in Sierra de Madrid and Sierra de Segovia, brings deep insight into both the horse and the terrain. His expertise in training, handling, and comprehensive horse care, together with his natural connection with animals and his experience on the trail, makes every route a solid, safe, and authentic experience.
Madrid Horse Tours develops equestrian tourism experiences in Sierra de Guadarrama National Park and other areas of Spain, traveling through unique landscapes via forest tracks, trails, historic paths, and livestock droving routes that cross valleys, mountain passes, and villages steeped in history.
The routes are designed for experienced riders, allowing them to enjoy the journey with fluidity and connection, immersed in nature and in a carefully selected setting.
